For the final for CMM 225 Professor Cripps asked us to pick out 5 of our said best podcasts and put them together as one and comment on why we liked or disliked this podcast.
I wanted to include my top favorite podcasts into the final, which is why I chose the first ever interview with one of my classmates. It also gives a good baseline on how much I have improved over the year because it was my first ever podcast for the class. That podcast was very choppy and you could hear all of the cuts that I had in there. But in the end, I still think that the interview turned out well and the information was very valuable to gte to know my classmate. I then chose to include my first ever Audio Playground. This is because I also wanted to see my growth throughout my audio playground as well. My first problem that i had with this podcast is that i did not follow the criteria as much as I should have. There was mean’t to be a story with the episode and I completely ignored that part of the rubric, but I was still very happy about the way it turned out. I then included my second audio playground which was a story as a list. This one was fun for me to put together because all of the sound effects that I had used. Cripps told me that he loved that it was creative, and it made me love my work even more. The next one that made it into the episode was my outside walking tour. When making that episode I wanted to add some personailty to it, which is why it is so interactive. I loved this episode because when i presented it to the class everyone was laughing with me and it made me feel like I had lightened the mood on a Monday morning. The last podcast episode that i have included in the portfolio podcast is my interview with my father, Brian Dickhaut. I loved this podcast for many reasons. I loved to get to know more about my fathers job and also have a genuine conversation with him. Now that I am in college I do not se him as often, so it was nice to sit down and talk to him.
Thank you so much Professor Cripps for this amazing journey! I hope to see you around.
